Medieval People
The medieval people included the peasants, great nobles, warriors, religious leaders, inventors, and explorers. They also had a specific order in which they lived. It was called the pyramid of power or the feudal system. Their life was a routine. The peasants spent most of their life and time working. The peasants did common needs like cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, and many more household chores. Most peasants were serfs, and lived in small communities that were ruled by a lord or vassal.
A king gave and ruled large pieces of land. For the king to be protected from invasion, he gave pieces of that land to vassals. The vassal would give their promise and their protection to the king in exchange for land. The land the vassal received is called a fief. Then a vassal would give another vassal a fief for protection, and the cycle continues. The knights are people who fight on horseback. They pledged themselves as vassals to the kings and were the ones who gave all the protection.
